We are excited to confirm that the 7th International Association for Youth Mental Health Conference will be held in Vancouver, Canada from 19-21 March, 2025. The theme of the conference is Turning the tide: Creating a global blueprint for prevention and integrated care in youth mental health.

We are now putting the call out for abstracts for this conference. Whether your experience of youth mental health is lived, loved, laboured or learned, or some combination of them all, it is your contribution that will make this a conference that moves youth mental health forward globally.

So, if you have some cutting-edge research, or have been part of changing things clinically, or have a story to tell about how young people have been, are, or should be a part of creating change in youth mental health we want to hear from you.

If you are part of creating or implementing innovative youth mental health policy or services, or responding to youth mental health needs in low resource settings, or part of a group figuring out how to involve and work with traditionally underserved communities, we want you to come and share your experiences at IAYMH2025. It is through bringing together the collective wisdom of our experience that we will be able to create a new global blueprint for youth mental health.

Professor Eóin Killackey
IAYMH 2025 Programme Committee Chair

The general abstract submission deadline is 5 July, 2024

Canadian visa applications

The IAYMH Executive and the IAYMH 2025 Conference Organisers are acutely aware that challenges exist in relation to processing times for some Canadian visa applications.

Whilst we cannot offer specific advice regarding visa requirements for Canada because everyone’s circumstances are individual, we will do our best to assist in any way that we can. We recommend that you please refer to the official Canadian government immigration website here for the most up to date information and to find out the requirements based on the country of issue of your passport.

Further information is also available on the conference website here.

As a new initiative for IAYMH 2025, we are offering you the opportunity to have your abstract reviewed earlier than during the standard review process. This would mean that your abstract must be submitted on or before 31st March, 2024 for review in the following weeks.
